  1. Hello, I recently saw your forged in fire episode, sorry about your loss, think you would have won if it hadn’t been for that spike thing on top of your ax. I am interested in two things, one the battle ax you made on the show how much would it cost to make another? And also your necklace you were on the show, where did you get it cause I really like it!!! Thanks

    • Joe,

Thanks for the kind words! It was a question of traditional techniques vs. welding the spike on and I went the traditional route. With the time constraints it may have been better for me to bow to modern technology, but I stand by my decision. 🙂

I do have plans to make another Tabar (albeit quite a bit more fancy) but haven’t estimated the job yet. I’ll email you and we can discuss what it would take in time and cost to produce another Tabar.

My necklace is one that I made years ago. I can certainly make more of those as well! We can chat about that via email as well.

      Regards,
      -d

  3. It was great to meet you this past weekend during the knife making class. Hope to see you around, and take the intermediate classes in the fall.

  4. Hello!!

Recently watched your episode on Forged in Fire. Great work man. I really appreciate the art form of this trade. Ive become obsessed with the art of blacksmithing and I want to learn! I’m very green to it all but everyone starts somewhere right?

I’ll be looking into your classes. Would love some information if you have the time!

  5. Hi Rob,

My name is Brayden, a Hanover resident also. I’ve been studying Bladesmithing for the past few months. There are some questions I have from just a general lack of knowledge. Will there be any classes coming up? Or would you host the idea of some type of apprenticeship/private lessons for a price? Thank you in advance!

  6. Hi Rob,
I received your info from J. Neilson. He had made a knife for my father a couple of years ago and I recently reached out to him to do the same for me. Due to his work load and tv show he is unable to make one for a long time. He recommended I reach out to you. I was on your website and like the style of the small utility knifeCan you give me a price to do one just like the one in the photo and one that is not Damascus. I’m looking for something around 6 to 7 inches in total length.
Please let me know if this is possible.
    Best regards,
    Chuck

  8. Rob,

I sent you an email today inquiring about a custom knife but not sure I had the correct address. I am in law enforcement and am looking for a small neck style knife like the first one you have in your gallery. Would you be able to make something like that again?
